The instrument was clearly well maintained and was played on a normal basis. This is a benefit since it is not good for a piano to sit for long periods without being played (or being tuned).

The piano was originally manufactured in Kawai's Japan factory and is one of the tallest uprights you can get (even though it takes the same floor space as a small spinet or console). It's height makes it a better sounding piano than some baby grands due to the long string length and large soundboard area. And it is ideal for either a home or a studio.

This is also a great value, with the current replacement piano (model K800) listing at over $25K!
